Q: Are you open for Early Dismissals
A: We got you covered during Friday early dismissals. Friday early dismissals come at no additional cost to all Full-Time and Part-Time Afternoon Members.
Q: Are you open for non instructional/PD Days?
A:
- Summit Kids remains open on non-instructional days such as Teachers Convention and Professional Development Days.
- Sign up is required at least 1 week in advance to attend our scheduled day camp.
- We may on occasion require closures on select day camps due to low enrollment, but offer alternative care opportunities on such closures at our WHCA location.
Kindergarten
- On occasion Kindergarten children may have a non – instructional day for Kindergarten only. These typically occur during situations such as alternating Kindergarten Fridays, or due to special Kindergarten events.
- During these times we got you covered! Summit Launch Members will have care during school hours at no additional cost.
- We ask that parents inform us of their child’s attendance on such dates so we can ensure we are appropriately staffed to accommodate a full day of care.
Q: Is your program eligible for Subsidy and Affordability Grant?
A: Yes!
Kindergarten
Affordability Grant
- The Affordability grant is available to all Kindergarten children.
- To qualify for the maximum grant amount of $450/month, a child must be registered to attend more than 100 hours per month; this is applicable to both our full-time and part-time members.
- The Affordability grant will be automatically applied to your monthly billing, reducing your parent portion.
- This is a separate financial support from subsidy.
Subsidy
- Families with a combined gross household income under $180,000 can apply to qualify for Subsidy that will further reduce childcare fees.
- A kindergarten child’s Subsidy rate will be determined by total family income, and the number of hours the child attends in a month.
- The maximum subsidy is $266/month, and requires 100 hours to be attended per month.
Grades 1-6
Subsidy
- Families with a combined gross household income under $90,000 can apply to qualify for Subsidy that will further reduce childcare fees.
- Grade school children’s subsidy rates are determined by total family income, child’s age, and the number of hours the child attends in a month.
- The maximum subsidy is $366/month, and requires 50 hours to be attended per month.
Q: What if I need to cancel?
A:
- One month’s written notice, based on the last day of the month prior, is required to withdraw a child or make any changes to their current registration.
- For example, November 30th notice to withdraw January 1st. This also includes September enrollment – written notice must be received by July 31st or September fees will apply even if the child doesn’t attend.
- Withdrawn memberships will be subject to the re-registration fee upon re-registration.
